FAQs

Got a question? We’re here to help.

  • What exactly is wash and fold?

"Wash and fold" refers to a convenient laundry service where customers drop off their dirty clothes, linens, or other washable items at Splash Laundry to be done. Our laundry professionals then wash, dry, and neatly fold the items before returning them to the customer. It's a hassle-free way to have your laundry done without the time and effort of doing it yourself.

At Splash Laundry, our wash and fold service includes customizable options such as spot cleaning, selecting preferred detergents and heat settings, and the option to hang certain items, ensuring your clothes are returned to you exactly how you like them.

  • Do you offer any pickup and delivery services?

We do! Pickup and delivery can be arranged through our website. Click on this link to set up your first order.

  • Do you offer any services for stain removal or ironing?

You have the option of allowing us to use stain removers on your laundry when you create your order. While we do our best to treat any stains, we can not guarantee results.

We do not currently offer other services such as ironing. However, if there is a need, let us know! We are always looking to better serve our customers.

  • Do you offer dry cleaning?

Dry cleaning is not currently offered at Splash Laundry.

  • What types of payment options do you offer?

For our self-service laundry, we take cash (coin) only at this time. Our facility includes an ATM and cash changing machine, ensuring you always have easy access to everything you need to get your laundry done.

For our wash and fold service, we take cash and any major credit or debit card.

  • Is there a loyalty program available to customers?

Yes there is! For our self-service customers, please see an attendant to get a loyalty card. Each time you visit the laundromat, present your card to the staff to get an additional "punch". On your tenth visit, you earn $7.00 in credit to use towards any machines at Splash Laundry. See an attendant to redeem.

For wash and fold customers, loyalty points are given at the rate of 5 points earned per dollar spent. Each point is valued at $0.01, and can be redeemed for equivelant value. A customer must reach a minimum of 500 points ($5.00 off) to redeem.

  • What products do you use on my wash and fold order?

Each customer's needs are evaluated with each service.  Our laundry experts have a wide range of products they can use, depending on the characteristics and preferences of the order they are working on.

We use all-natural detergents with a choice of scented (lavender) and non-scented varieties. In addition, fabric softener and an oxygen brightener are used in most orders.

  • What hours is the laundromat open?

The laundromat is open every day, from 6:30am to 11:00pm. Last wash is at 10:15pm, and we ask all customers to finish their laundry and exit the building by 11:00pm promptly.

  • Do you have an attendant?

Yes! We have an attendant available everyday, 8:30am to 5:00pm. Attendants are present to maintain a clean facility, answer questions, and perform wash and fold services. Give us a call if you have any questions!

  • Do you offer free Wi-Fi?

Yes! We offer free Wi-Fi to all our customers. Other amenities on site include a soda machine, coin machine, ATM, restroom, and comfortable chairs and tables. We are also walking distance to both Popeye's, CVS, and Dunkin Donuts, making our laundromat a convenient errand!

  • Do you offer detergent or fabric softener for purchase?

Yes! We have a variety of detergents, fabric softeners, and bleach for purchase via our vending machines. We even offer bags!

  • How often are your machines cleaned and maintained?

Here at Splash Laundry, we pride ourselves around being the cleanest laundromat in the area. Our machines are meticulously cleaned and inspected all day, every day.

Deep cleaning on each and every machine is scheduled at least twice per week, or more as needed.

  • Are there any size limitations for the washers?

Yes, We ask that you do not use the 10lbs or 20lbs washers for any blankets or comforters. Washers clean best when they are not overloaded and have ample room for clothes to move freely during the wash cycle.

Overloading washers can lead to several issues. Firstly, it can prevent soap from being dispersed evenly throughout the load, resulting in some clothes not getting properly cleaned. Secondly, overcrowding the washer can hinder the rinsing process, leaving behind soap residue on the clothes. Additionally, when the washer is overloaded, clothes tend to clump together, trapping extra water. This can prolong the drying time and may require running the dryer for longer periods or even re-drying clothes to ensure they are fully dry.

To ensure optimal cleaning results and efficient laundry cycles, it's best to avoid overloading washers and to leave enough room for clothes to move freely.

  • How do I report a problem with a machine?

If an attendant is on site, please report problems with equipment to the staff present. If a problem happens before or after the attendant has left, please call or text our after-hours phone number of (816) 656-7698.

The number is posted in several places around the laundromat for reference.

  • I have to bring my child with me. Is there anything for them to do?

Absolutely! We offer a small kids corning with activities for all ages. We provide rotating coloring pages with crayons to keep any kid entertained. Leave us your masterpiece so we can hang it on the wall!

We also offer a range of books for kids of all ages. Check out our variety the next time you come in!

Lastly, we do stock small vending toys for children to play with.

  • Can I leave my laundry unattended while it's washing or drying?

While we understand life is busy, we ask that you stay local while your laundry is being washed or dried. If you must leave, it is best practice to set a timer on your phone for the time left on your machine, and return when that timer goes off.

Any laundry left unattended will be moved by an attendant if the machine is needed for another customer.

Any laundry left unattended or abandoned will be held for a maximum of 48 hours. After 48 hours, all laundry is donated or disposed of.

  • Are pets allowed inside the laundromat?

Unfortunately, for the safety and comfort of all our customers, we ask that you do not bring your pets inside the laundromat. This includes emotional support animals (ESAs).

Well behaved service animals are always welcome.
